Cheri Copelin, Owner, Founder
Cheri started Salon Nouveau in 1990 and has since guided many amazing stylists from fresh-out-of-beauty-school graduates to master designers. She takes care of all of us and is the mind and heart behind the whole operation. Cheri is true to her commitment of environmentalism in business and in her personal life and guides us all towards this goal.
Cheri lives in Michigan with her half Rottweiler, half Old English Sheepdog, Griswald.
Nancy Wingfield, Salon Coordinator
Nancy is Cheri's right-hand-lady and is currently overseeing the growth of our new location in Granger. She has been with Salon Nouveau for eleven years, and has been an integral part of our success by exercising her exceptional customer service skills.
Nancy lives in Granger with her husband and enjoys gardening in her free time.
April Andrzejewski, Co-Designer
April joined Salon Nouveau in 2007. She is currently working out of the Granger location as a co-designer.
Jen Ashley, Master Designer
Jen is back to work after her maternity leave & works every other Saturday. She is getting booked for the future, so call for an appointment soon. Jen & her husband Jeff had a boy on May 29th. They named him Jeffrey, he is adorable.
Jessa Beck, Guest Coordinator
Jessa is on our Guest Services Team. She has been with Salon Nouveau since 2004. She currently live in South Bend with her boyfriend. She is excellent with the clients & enjoys customer relations.
Dana Bucher, Esthetician
Dana has been working as an esthetician since she graduated from beauty
school in September of 2004. In February of 2007, she joined the Salon
Nouveau team bringing fresh ideas and experience from La Jolla,
California, where she had worked in an all organic and holistic day
spa. She has since proven to be our star make-up artist and enjoys
helping people to feel and look beautiful by balancing their skin, body
and spirit with different massage and skin care techniques paired with
Aveda's outstanding products.
In her free time, she loves
spending time with her husband who is currently pursuing his PhD at
Notre Dame, as well as hanging out with friends and family.
Stephanie Butcher, Guest Coordinator
Stephanie has worked at Salon Nouveau since the Granger location opened in February. She is part of our Guest Services Team and will soon be our new "Aveda Advisor", as she is especially knowledgeable about Aveda products.
Stephanie lives in Mishawaka with her husband and nine-year-old daughter. She is originally from Chicago, and in her free time enjoys visiting the Windy City.
Jenifer Curran, Guest Coordinator
Jenifer has been on the Salon Nouveau Team since July 2006. She's been a Front Desk Coordinator since 2000, but has never enjoyed the job as much as she does here with us.
Jenifer's day job is at RE/MAX in Niles where she is pursuing her love of homes and design by practicing real estate. She lives in Niles with her fiance and her two cats, Jax and Iris.
Nora Dillon, Designer
Nora graduted from beauty school in June of 2005 and started at Salon Nouveau on Ironwood in August of that year. She now works at our Heritage Square location and when asked about her profession says, "[It] brings out my creativity and is a constant challenge. Since I tend to be a people pleaser, it is my goal that each of my clients leave with an I've-never-looked-better feeling!"
Nora recently purchased a house in South Bend with her husband, and enjoys spending her free time with him and the rest of her family.

Jessica Fisher, Designer
Jessica joined the Salon Nouveau team in September 2006. She recently got back from a trip to New York where she attended advanced Aveda training classes to bring back to us. Jessica's favorite service to provide is color, which she is especially skilled with. Her patience and preciseness are why her clients are always thrilled with their results.
Nancy Fry, Esthetician, Nail Tech
Nancy was especially excited when the Spa in Granger opened because after previously having only one small room to work in, she now has the facilities she needs to provide all the amazing services she offers including facials, relaxation massage, body wraps, make up, and nail services. Nancy specializes in maturing skin, and encourages everyone to find their inner radience with our tourmaline line.
Katelyn Hampshire, Designer, Nail Tech
Dawn Jarrett, Master Designer
Dawn has been part of the Salon Nouveau team since 1993. She has visited Germany & Italy for hair coloring & cutting education. She is the salon educator for assistants as well as the in salon cutting coach. She lives in Osceola with her husband Ian and two daughters. She is thankful for her wonderful clientele.
Karen Leist, Nail Technician
Karen has been a nail tech since 1994, and has worked here with us at our Ironwood location since November 1997. Her theory is, "Have your client leave feeling how you'd want to feel", which is why she is always busy from morning to night with her frequent loyal clients.
Jennifer Martz, Master Designer
Jennifer has been working at our Heritage Square salon since May 2007, when we excitedly welcomed her to the team. She is a true master of her art, specializing in both color formulation and cutting. Jen is always sure to have a thurough consultation and takes her time, which is why every client she has comes back, and leaves happier than the time before.Jen lives in Mishawaka with her cat, Mazzie.
Brandi Munroe, Master Designer, Aveda Color Coach
Brandi graduated from Alpena's Hollywood School of Beauty in May 2002. She joined us at our Granger location in February and has already proved herself invaluable in both her skill as a designer and her dedication as a member of the team. Her favorite service to provide is color; whether it's refreshing a previous look or creating a new one, she always makes sure her clients leave with a smile on their face.On the rare occasion that Brandi isn't at work, she enjoys spending time at her home in Michigan with her boyfriend, Kyle, and their two cats, Oreo and Dorito.
Shelby Nicolini, Guest Coordinator
Becky Nystrand, Master Designer, Men's Aveda Cutting Coach
Becky joins us at Heritage Square with many years experience from both the administrative and creative ends of the salon business. After having owned a successful salon herself, Becky realized that the creative part of the job is truly her calling and went back to practicing what she loves most. She keeps up with the newest in fashion and hair trends for women's cuts and color by attending advanced training classes in New York, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and London, but considers men's cuts and styles her specialty.
In her free time, Becky enjoys reading mysteries and fashion magazines. For vacation, she enjoys fishing and boating in the summer, and going to warm places in the winter. She is also a fan of Michigan State football and basketball.

Leslie Spafford, Master Designer
Leslie has been with our salon family since June 1999. She has wed and moved in 2007, making her primary residence in Chicago, IL with her husband Dave. She commutes to our Ironwood salon every week because she just loves it here. She has a steady clientele and also welcomes new faces. She enjoys working with curly hair.
Marika Szynski, Designer, Artistic Educator, Aveda Cutting Coach
Marika has been part of the Salon Nouveau family since October 2003. She's gone from Assistant to Artistic Manager and Educator as well as Aveda In-Salon Cutting Coach. She enjoys her job because it allows her to stay on top of the newest techniques then bring what she learns back to her co-workers who keep the community looking their best with the latest trends and developments in the salon industry.
Marika likes to spend lots of time with her family members who have all always lived in Michiana. She lives in Elkhart with her boyfriend, Blake, and their dog Callie.

Jessica graduated beauty school in July 2006 and joined us in South Bend in February 2007. She specializes in color and is happy to accept new clients.
Gloria Woodcox, Designer
Gloria graduated beauty school February 2007 and has been a part of the Salon Nouveau family since she graduated. She lives in South Bend. She is engaged to her childhood sweetheart Gavin, they are planning on getting married October 2008. Gloria is now the in salon make-up coach at our Ironwood location. She is extremely motivated and looks forward to building her clientele.
